OPI Spark de Triomphe

I wore this to the beach on Saturday and it was sparkling like diamonds! In all of the pictures I am wearing three coats of polish.

OPI Spark de Triomphe ♥♥♥♥♥

I was not a fan of glitter nail polish and if you took a look at my stash you would never believe that. I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!

Awesome Combo!

I saw this combo on Steffels at MUA and I instantly knew I had to try it. Of course, at the time, I did not own the glitter polish used to create the look but I fixed that quickly!

OPI Dating a Royal & L.A. Girl Glitter Addict Animate ♥♥♥♥♥

I really enjoyed wearing this combination and did not want to take it off but, unfortunately, it had to go.

Oh, I did end up using Essie Matte About You on it before I took it off but I didn't like the way it looked and I forgot to snap a picture.

Milani Sparkling Blue

Here is a mani I did with Milani Sparkling Blue and I must say it is not one of my favorites:

Milani Sparkling Blue

I was disappointed with this one. I think if the base was more of a jelly base I would have liked it much better. The base overpowers the glitter to much and I was not feeling it at all! The base and the glitter in this polish were just not made to be paired with another.

This polish was a part of the 2009 Welcome Back to Color Collection. Along with Sparkling Blue, I purchased, Flashy Orange, Gleaming Green and Dazzling Pink.

Essie Ruby Slippers

This was red week for my nails. I didn't plan it, I just wore red for the whole week. One of the reds I wore was Essie Ruby Slippers ♥♥♥♥♥.

I remember going to my TJ Maxx last year and finding a few mini's of Essie Ruby Slippers but I never bought them because I don't like mini polishes. Then I saw pictures of the polish and instantly fell in love but I still could not bring myself to buy the mini. Well I finally purchased the full size and I am VERY pleased. I love the red glitter in the red jelly base. There are even small bits of silver glitter in it. I should have used Gelous Basecoat and then Seche Vite so it wasn't so gritty, but it was no biggie, next time I need to remember to do that.

Thanks for looking!

OPI DS Glamour & Zoya Reva

Here are two pics of my NOTD's (Nail of the Day) from last week:

OPI DS Glamour ♥♥♥♥♥

My application on this one was pretty bad. Hopefully, the application can be overlooked because this polish is gorgeous! The first time I saw it I knew I had to have it. I was in Ulta one day and it was in the clearance section for 2 bucks! WOO HOO!

Zoya Reva ♥♥♥♥♥

This is another winner and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised! I am tempted to put it on again this week it is just so pretty!

This weekend I also indulged a little bit. I purchased the OPI Navy Shatter, Turquoise Shatter, Blue Shatter, Mod About You and Butter London Henley Regatta:

Off to play with my new pretties!

My nails...

look so bad right now and it is all my fault. Normally, I use Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover and Nubar Foundation Base Coat or Sally Hansen Nail Quencher Hydrating Base coat. Well, I ran out of the Sally Hansen Cuticle Remover and started using the cuticle remover from Nfu-Oh, then I ran out of Nubar Foundation Base Coat and instead of using Sally Hansen Nail Quencher I decided to use Seche Crystal Clear Base Coat...now my nails are peeling and I am not sure which of my new products are the culprit. I am switching back to what I was using before and hopefully my nails will come back in better condition.

I wore Amour Rain Glitter before my nails started peeling so badly and I must say I  ♥♥♥♥♥ it.

Sephora By OPI Ocean Love Potion

This polish is definitely in my top twenty. It applied nicely with very little cleanup. I am wearing three coats but I really could have stopped at two.

Earth Day

For Earth Day I decided to wear Milani Flamboyant in Green topped with China Glaze White Cap. Flamboyant in Green came out in 2009 with the Welcome Back to Color Collection and China Glaze White Cap is a part of the 2011 Anchors Away Collection.

I like White Cap because it is very versatile, it can be worn alone or as a topcoat to liven up an existing mani. I also adore the dusty green color of Flamboyant in Green.

Milani Flamboyant in Green ♥♥♥♥
While looking at Flamboyant in Green, I thought it looked really similar to OPI Green-Wich Village. I will have to do a comparison one day.

I really like the way these two look together! I hope you had a great Earth Day!

Essie Licorice

This is my all time favorite black nail polish. It was screaming for me to layer something over it but I just did not have time.

Essie Licorice ♥♥♥♥

Sorry about the first photo, it was taken without flash and it looks a bit blurry. The second photo was taken with flash. I did not make it home in time to take these pics during daylight but trust me when I say it was really shiny and very vampy!

Another Holo!

Yup Yup..I wore another holo right after I took off Cyberspace. This one is China Glaze TTYL and I absolutely love it! Work has been pretty hectic for me lately and having this pretty polish on distracted me from work for a few:

China Glaze TTYL ♥♥♥♥

Isn't it pretty! Excuse the little black speck on my index finger, I did not notice it was there until after I took the pictures. I also did not get an indoor pic, all the ones I took were way to dark.

TTYL is from the China Glaze OMG collection and most of the ones I have from the collection are go to colors for me because they dry really fast which comes in handy when I am in a hurry!

Bad Timing?

This past week there have been a few rainy days in my neck of the woods. I should have checked the weather before I sat down and polished my nails for the evening, but I was so excited to try one of the new polishes I purchased from the China Glaze Tronica Collection. Here she is for you to feast your eyes on:

China Glaze Cyberspace ♥♥♥♥
It is hard to see here but the color really is pretty and the little bit of holo peeking through makes it a bit interesting. It was really hard for me to capture on camera and since it was raining I had to take the picture inside. It is a light brown and I really like it because for me it is work appropriate!

Well...Here Goes Nothing...

I can't believe I actually started a blog...I have been thinking about it for a while and decided why not go for it....I will be talking/writing/blogging about a bunch of different topics but for now one of the many things making me happy (besides the hubs when he is in a good mood lol) is NAIL POLISH!
Yes, I am a lover of polish..I am just going to jump right to it.......

This is an old NOTD (Nail of the Day): OPI Brights Power ♥♥♥♥
Brights Power does not look as red in real life if that makes sense and I think it is way brighter but I am still learning how to use my camera :)
